Seal cracks and holes on the outside of your home, including entry points for utilities and pipes.
Keep plants and tree branches trimmed away from the house.
Keep basements, attics, and crawl spaces well-ventilated and dry.
Reduce paper and cardboard clutter, where insects like to hide.
Don’t allow standing water under potted plants, in pet dishes, in outdoor toys and kiddie pools.
Don’t keep fruits and vegetables out for long.
Dispose of garbage regularly.
Store food in airtight containers.
Keep your kitchen as clean as possible and free of food crumbs and grease.
Store firewood away from the house and off the ground.
